Navy League Nelson Branch
Biography
A meeting was held on 31 March 1905 at the Chamber of Commerce where it was resolved to form a Nelson branch of the Navy League and officers and a committee were elected, Charles Y. Fell being the first President. Very few records held for the period after 1921. Meetings in 1923 and 1924 raise the matter of whether the League could carry on. Entries in Lucas's Nelson almanac for the 1960's indicate that the League was still in existence.
