Private Eroch Edgar Clough (serial no.6/3659).
Born on 1 May 1895 in Enagland.
The son of Enoch Richard and Mary Clough, of Murchison, New Zealand. On the Auckland War Memorial Museum Cenotaph database his next of kin is listed as Mrs M. Clough (mother), Murchison, Nelson, New Zealand. Worked as a Dairy Factory Assistant in Murchison.
Served with the 9th Reinforcements Canterbury Infantry Battalion, C Company during World War one and embarked on 8 January 1916 from Wellington, New Zealand for Suez, Egypt.
Died from wounds whilst serving in the Canterbury Infantry Regiment, 1st Battalion in Belgium 17 October 1917.
He was aged 22.
Buried in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, Boulogne, France, reference VIII. I. 69.
