Description
Full length studio portrait, possibly Mr Poynter. He stands with one hand holding a cane and his other hand holding a hat. Distinguishing features include his receding hairline and check patterned cravat. Studio props include a pedestal. The backdrop is a painted mural of a lake scene depicting fern trees, foliage, a body of water, rocks, hills and sky. Exposed studio wall is visible beyond the backdrop. The marking '72' is in mirror writing.
