Description
Full length studio portrait, possibly of Mrs Knox. She stands with one arm by her side and her other hand holding a shawl at her waist. Her gaze does not meet the camera. Studio props include books on a desk, small round table, and carpet. The backdrop is a painted mural of a decorative wall with a large open window. An outdoor scene including a balcony, baluster, trees, body of water, hills and sky are depicted through the window. Exposed studio wall is visible beyond the backdrop. The marking '16' is in mirror writing.
