Description
View looking west across Tahunanui beach where a gala fundraising event for the Belgian Relief Fund is taking place. The main road and Beach Road meet in the foreground. People, horses and carriages, and early motor vehicles are on the roads. A large number of people are scattered throughout the tussock, sand dunes and beach area. There are tents on the beach, including refreshment stands and games, and a few smaller tents scattered among the dunes. The sand in a large rectangular area, cordoned off on the beach, has been dug and churned through for the treasure hunt events.
