Boards

Description
Three wood boards from a packing case. There are some nail holes on the outer edges of the pieces of wood. The boards are marked in pencil and black paint with 'Wm SONGER BROOK GREEN NELSON NEW ZEALAND'.

These boards are part of a packing case sent to Mr William Songer some time after he arrived in Nelson on the Whitby (ship) in 1841. Mr Songer subsequently had the packing case timber used to construct a sofa.
