Description
Saucer made at the Crewenna Pottery, Wakapuaka, Nelson. One of four almost identical saucers. Iron oxide brush decorated. The pattern includes a dark brown rim around the edge and around inner circle of saucer on a tan base and four light brown brush strokes between the two rims. Makers mark on base. The materials are from the Nelson and Golden Bay region. Iron oxide from Onekaka was used for the iron oxide brush decoration.
