Description
Saucer made by Crewenna Pottery in Wakapuaka, Nelson. One of four almost identical saucers. Iron oxide brush decoration. The pattern includes a dark brown rim around the edge and around inner circle of saucer on a tan base and four brown brush strokes between the two rims. Makers mark on base and a hairline crack in the glaze on base. The materials are from the Nelson and Golden Bay region. Iron oxide from Onekaka was used for the iron oxide brush decoration. Glaze number 35.
