Description
Handcoloured lithograph on cream paper with card backing. The print is a botanical illustration of parts of a tree with fruit. Three green stems are depicted with alternate leaves on petioles. The green leaf blades are long and lanced-shaped. The long black oval berries are on long stalks adjacent to the leaves.

The print is titled "Nesodaphne Tawa (Tawa)" and "A lofty forest tree 60-70 feet hight. Leaves 3-4 inches long, very aromatic. Berries purple with a strong taste of turpentine, pigeons are very fond of them. The genus has one other species both confined to New Zealand."
