Description
Pencil drawing, on rectangular sheet of card, with border margins. The drawing depicts the Old Medieval London Bridge (1209-1831) over the River Thames. In the foreground is the river, upon which various row boats and sailing boats are depicted. In the middle ground is the bridge, with eighteen asymmetrical arches. In the background on the left is a tower with domed roof and steeple, to the right of that a tall narrow steeple with a cross, and further to the right another church steeple. There are many buildings and dozens of ships masts depicted.

The drawing is dated, initialled and titled '26th July 1846 Wm. B.' and 'Old London Bridge, Custom House, Tower &c.'. On the back of the drawing, is the inscription 'Drawn from Nature Septr 1823'. Old London Bridge was demolished in 1831.
