Object Detail

Watercolour painting on rectangular sheet of brown paper, with a brown window mount, and backing. The painting is a botanical illustration of part of a shrub with flowers, depicted in fragments. The leaves are closely stacked one above the other. The leaf blades are green-white and spear-shaped. The small white tubular flowers are in clusters on red-brown stalks, with orange-brown sheathing leaf bases at the terminal ends of leaf stems. A small pencil drawing of part of a stem is visible at the base of the plant.

The painting is marked "NiNA JONES" and “DrAcophyLLum LoNgifolium – NEI NEI.”
