Description
Watercolour painting on rectangular sheet of brown paper, with a brown window mount, and backing. The painting is a botanical illustration of part of a shrub with flowers, thought to be Rubus. One brown stem is depicted, with compound leaves consisting of one to three leaflets. The green-yellow leaf blades are long and heart-shaped with serrated margins. Some of the petioles and stems have small brown hooked prickles. Interspersed along the stems are clusters of flowers on long brown pedicels. The small white flowers have five round petals with yellow centres. Some of the flowers are depicted as round white buds. There are leaves and flowers depicted in a wash of colours.
