Description
Circular silver coin, 1843 three-halfpence, Queen Victoria I.
The reverse side of the coin has a raised relief profile bust portrait of Queen Victoria I facing left. Victoria I is depicted with hair bunched at the back of her head. Around the edge of the coin is the inscription 'VICTORIA D:G. BRITANNIAR:REGINA F:D:' (Victoria by the Grace of God Queen of Britains, Defender of the Faith).
The reverse side of the coin shows a laurel wreath joined by a ribbon. At the top of the wreath is a crown. Around the edge of the coin is the inscription '1½ 1843'.
