Possibly: Private Dudley William WIN. NZEF Service # 26357 : Private, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, C. Company, Cyclists' Battalion, 18th Reinforcements, NZEF. Born 8 January 1887 - at Hope Junction, Nelson District. Son of Robert WIN - of Owen Junction, Nelson District. Brother of Private Ronald WIN : NZEF Service 6/3516; Private, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, 12th (Nelson) Company, 8th Reinforcements, NZEF. Private Ronald Win survived war service - and he returned home to New Zealand - aboard HMNZ Transport Ship 'Ulimaroa' - arriving at New Zealand on 17 January 1919. Prior to enlistment for war service Dudley Win was employed as a Farmer - at Owen Junction, Nelson District. Dudley Win enlisted for war service - on 28 May 1916 - at Nelson. At enlistment he was posted as a Private - with the Canterbury Infantry Regiment, 18th Reinforcements, NZEF. On 11 October 1916 Private Dudley Win left New Zealand for overseas war service - with the 18th Reinforcements NZEF - aboard HMNZ Transport Ship T67 'Tofua' - from Port of Wellington. Private Dudley Win served at France & Belgium (1916-1917 & 1918). Private Win was twice wounded in action - at France. Private Dudley Win survived war service - and he returned home to New Zealand - aboard HMNZ Transport Ship 'Paparoa' - arriving 22 June 1919 - at New Zealand.
