Possibly: Private Uriah Francis BLANCHETT (1891-1973). NZEF Service # 80404; Private, New Zealand Infantry, 42nd Reinforcements, NZEF. Born 5 May 1891 - at Nelson. Uriah was the son of Thomas & Mrs E. Blanchett - of Flat Creek, Rai Valley, Marlborough. Prior to enlistment for war service Uriah Blanchett was employed as a Labourer - at the Public Works Department - Rai Valley, Marlborough. Uriah Blanchett enlisted for war service on 20 May 1918. On 1 August 1918 he left New Zealand for overseas war service - with the 42nd Reinforcements NZEF - aboard HMNZ T109 'Tofua' - from Port of Wellington. Private Blanchett was at NZEF Training Camp at Brocton, England, on 4 October 1918. Private Blanchett returned to New Zealand and he was discharged from the NZEF - on 27 June 1919. Uriah Blanchett also served in World War 2. Uriah F. Blanchett died - 24 January 1972 - at Blenheim, Marlborough. For Private Uriah F.
