Description
Seven pieces of a tea set, soft-paste porcelain. There are three cups and three saucers, and one side plate. Distinguishing features include a salmon glaze on white ground with gilt floral decorations. The cups are wide and squat, with a scalloped rim. The exterior of the cups are white with a gilt floral frieze, the sides of the inside of the cups have a salmon glaze, with elaborate gilt decorations including flowers, leaves and cross-hatching, and the bottoms are white with a gilt sunburst design. The handles are angular, and lined with gilt.
The saucers are deep, and have a white scalloped rim. There is a large band of salmon glazing around the deep rim, with elaborate gilt decorations including flowers, leaves and cross-hatching. The centre of the saucers are white with a gilt sunburst design.
The side plate has a scalloped rim. There is a large band of salmon glazing extending deeper than the raised rim, with elaborate gilt decorations including flowers, leaves and cross-hatching. The centre of the plate is white with a gilt sunburst design.
