The plan shows the 1865 Nelson Hotel & the Avery house / shop on Collingwood Street. These were burnt in the 1866 fire. The hotel is also smaller than the 1866 version. Therefore it appears that the plan is a pre-1866 base plan with the wells and pumps superimposed presumably after the fire. This plan is also later than the Huddleston plan as the Huddleston plan shows the orginial 1840s - 50s building on the south west corner of Bridge and Collingwood Streets, not the 1865 Nelson Hotel.
