Maker biography

John Danforth Greenwood ( c1802-1890) and Sarah Greenwood nee Field (1809-1899) arrived on the Phoebe (ship) on the 29 March 1843. They settled in Motueka in 1843 building their house 'Woodlands". They also resided in Nelson where Dr Greenwood held many official appointments such as JP, Inspector of Schools and he was on the Board of Govenors for Nelson Collge.
