Pūpū Harakeke

Description
Pūpū harakeke. This white shell is a sub-fossil shell recovered from the forest floor which is revealed under shifting sand dunes. The empty shell is blown like a koauau to create a special song. This is like the fairy music created by the Kauri snail turning the lip of their shell into the breeze and creating and eerie whistle.
