Description
Pūtātara made of wood and the Charonia cupax shell. Trawled from Awaroa Inlet. The opeculum is attached as an ornament. The feathers are tūī, the wood is Matai. The binding is of a traditional material Brian believes is known as ake kie kie, aerial root, from a local native vine.
