Description
Handcoloured lithograph on cream paper with card backing. The print is a botanical illustration of part of a shrub with flowers and seeds. Several brown stems are depicted with simple alternate leaves. The green leaf blades are small and needle-shaped. Interspersed along the stems are flowers with five round white petals with pink-brown centres. At the base of a stem are yellow-brown round seed capsules with an ‘x’ on top.
The print is titled "Leptospermum scoparium. (Manuka)" and "A hardy shrub growing over the hills like heath, bearing in summer an abundance of pink and white flowers. There are several species."
