Watercolour painting on paper, with paper backing. The painting depicts a view from a hillside, of Tasman Bay. In the foreground is the sandy sea shore. To the left is a house, and to the right of the house two figures are depicted. One figure stands on the shore, and a second figure is seated in a dinghy in the water nearby. To the right of the figures three trunks sit upon the sand. In the middle ground on the left is fifeshire rock. In front of the rock is the hull of a ship, which is reflected in the water. Over on the right is the curved arm of the boulder bank. In the background is Tasman Bay, rows of hills, mountains, and sky.
