Description
Pencil drawing, on rectangular sheet of card, with border margins. The drawing depicts Southwark Bridge over the River Thames. In the foreground is the river, upon which various row boats and a sailing boat are depicted. On the right, the river is lined by buildings. In the middle ground is the bridge, with three large spans, with zig-zag detailing, and stone piers. In the background at the right of the bridge is a large dome and spire.
The drawing is dated, initialled and titled '26th July 1846. W.B. Southwark Bridge & St Pauls.'
