Handcoloured lithograph on cream paper with card backing. The print is the cover page for a set of New Zealand Flowers lithographs. In the centre of the composition is the outline of an artist’s palette. A winding black stem is depicted with small oval-shaped alternate and opposite leaves. There are solitary flowers are at the terminal ends of the stems on long pedicels. The star-shaped flowers have free petals radiating out from speckled centres. The branching stem extends and winds around a border, and through the thumb-hole of the palette.

Embossed in the top right corner is "In deo confido". The page is titled "NEW ZEALAND FLOWERS E.C. Harris." and "PUBLISHED BY H.D. JACKSON. NELSON. N.Z. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED." and on a piece of paper affixed to paper "Presented by Dr. F.A. BETT Nelson"
