Object Detail

Description
Watercolour painting on rectangular sheet of white paper. The painting depicts a house set in a semi-rural setting, looking east. Spanning the length of the foreground is an undulating brown fence emulating the shape of the rolling slope of the hill. In front of the fence are grasses and scrub. Behind the fence is a pathway which curves along from centre right to left of centre in the middle-ground. To the left of the path is a stand of trees and to the right a sloped grassy area and more trees. There is a double gabled house in the centre of the picture with a lean-to style veranda. The house has a chimney, with smoke. In the background are trees, and sky.
