Two branching brown stems are depicted, with alternate leaves. The green leaf blades are spear-shaped with undulating margins on petioles. Interspersed between the leaves are solitary flowers on pedicels. The crimson flowers have five round petals with yellow centres encased by small grey pointed sepals. There are leaves are depicted in a blue wash.
