Description
Watercolour painting on rectangular sheet of brown paper, with a brown window mount, and backing. The painting is a botanical illustration of tree branches with flowers. Two branching brown stems are depicted with alternate leaves. The green leaf blades are lance-shaped with wavy margins and a prominent white midrib. At the terminal ends of the stems are clusters of flowers. The small white flowers are star-shaped, with long protruding yellow stamens. Leaves are depicted in a blue wash.

The painting is marked "NINA JONES" and "Pittosporum eugenioides - Tarata". Paper label on front: "Pittosporum eugenioides, the leaves of the tree have a lemon odour when bruised, much grown in gardens. Natural size".
