Watercolour painting on rectangular sheet of brown paper, with a brown window mount, and backing. The painting is a botanical illustration of part of a tree with fruit. One branch is depicted, with a brown sheathing base and leaves in a radiating spiral formation. The leaf blades are long and linear with parallel venation, green on top and orange brown underneath. Three large brown-green, long cylindrical fruit spikes are at the centre of the radiating leaves. There are leaves depicted in a wash of browns.

The painting is marked "NINA JONES" and "urE urE, KiE KiE, FrEyciNEtiA BaNKsii". Paper label along front lower edge: "Freycinetia banksii, kiekie, the unripe fruit of a lofty climbing forest piphyte. Natural size".
