Description
Lithograph printed in black ink on rectangular sheet of cream paper, with border margins along top and sides, and wider border margin at the bottom. The print depicts a three quarter length picture of a seated Walter Scott (1771-1832) and dog. He sits with both hands on a cane propped up between his legs. He has short hair. He wears a jacket, waistcoat, shirt and necktie, and pants. The dog has a collar around its neck and sits by Scott’s leg. In the background hills, sky, and a tree are depicted.

The print is titled "SIR [illegible] BAR.T", signed “Painted by J.W. Gordon" and "Engraved by W. Holl”.
