Handcoloured lithograph on cream paper with card backing. The print is a botanical illustration of part of a shrub with flowers. A white leaf stem and green flower stem are depicted. The leaf blades are large and oval-shaped with serrated margins, green on top and white underneath, with pinnate venation. The cluster of flowers has long white free pointed petals radiating out from a yellow centre with green pointed sepals.

The print is titled "Senecio Hectori." and "A remarkably handsome shrub six to twelve feet high. Found by Sir James Hector on the Buller River, Nelson Province 1872. Flowers abundantly in January. Flowers white with yellow centres. It is the most beautiful of its species."
