Maker biography
The Nelson Trust Funds was established by an Act of Parliament in 1854. This set up the election of trustees from a district to administer trust funds to be used for educational purposes. the frist Trustees were Alfred Fell, David Sclanders, Charles Elliott, David Monro, William Wells, J D Greenwood and J W Barnicoat.
