Copy of a photograph of a man in military uniform. The man depicted on this negative is wearing Rifle Brigade lapel badges and the name written on the negative's wrapper reads ‘Wrigglesworth’. However, there are no men named Wrigglesworth on the Auckland War Memorial Museum Cenotaph Database or the Archway database. From researching possible spelling variations of the name Wrigglesworth only one man was found who served in the Rifle Brigade. This man was John George Wregglesworth. Therefore, the man depicted on this negative is thought to be Rifleman John George Wregglesworth (serial no. 27125). On the Auckland War Memorial Museum Cenotaph database his next of kin is listed as J.H. Wregglesworth (father), Lovell's Flat, Otago, New Zealand. Wregglesworth embarked with the 8th Reinforcements 3rd Battalion, G Company on 23 September 1916 from Wellington, New Zealand for Devonport, England.
