Description
Suit. Worn by Dame Norma Holyoake. Two piece speckled blue and yellow wool suit by Silitex, with belt. Jacket has long set in sleeves with placket and cuff, button and button hole on lower edge. Wide curved shape revere collar. Curved yoke across front with gathers on lower body of jacket. Top stitched edges on collar yoke. Five centre front buttons and button holes. Shank buttons made of silver coloured metal with in set fabric. Tie belt at waist with thread belt loops, one on each side. Princess lined seams on the back. The skirt is knee length, centre back lapped zip. Front of the skirt only has four knife pleats. Front and back darts. Top stitched lap to mid thigh. Fastened with a button at the back and a metal hook and eye. Hanging loops stitched to the inside. Fabric made in Italy, garment made in New Zealand.
