Bird, Crested Penguin

Description
Mounted taxidermy penguin on varnished wooden plinth with original exhibition labels. Probably a Tawaki / Fiordland crested penguin. Black, white and blue feathers, blue is particularly vivid on upper flippers. Yellow crested feathers starting from behind bill, above eyes and extending from back of head. Long tail. Substantial dark blue tips on inner side of flippers. Mounted on wooden board, with original typed label "CRESTED PENGUIN / Eudyptes pachyrhynchus" and on the back of label "Mrs Moncrieff".
