Australasian Bittern - Matuku Hūrepo, also known as Brown Bittern. The is mounted on a square wooden mount, with an upright gait, neck fully extended and head turned slightly to the left. White underbelly plumage with some light brown mottled feathers. Mottled brown feathers across the back and top of the neck, white stripe running from the eyes down the neck. Botaurus poiciloptilus.
