One brown stem is depicted, with compound leaves consisting of one to three leaflets. The green-yellow leaf blades are long and heart-shaped with serrated margins. Some of the petioles and stems have small brown hooked prickles. Interspersed along the stems are clusters of flowers on long brown pedicels.
